Imke Menting

Imke Menting from Apeldoorn, Netherlands, is a 5VWO student and a rider who loves seeking adventure in racing. What appeals most to Imke in cycling is the tactics and the variety between the different disciplines. Her favorite race to ride is the Tour of Flanders, because of the challenging cobblestones and climbs, and the Madison on the track. She regards Marianne Vos as her main role model.

Imke finds NXTG Racing special due to the focus on aggressive racing and the team’s unique style. Her mental preparation involves a thorough warm-up and discussing the race strategy. Off the bike, Imke is highly creative: she enjoys drawing, painting and making music (piano and drums). She dreams of travelling through Spain by bike. Her ambition for the upcoming season is to measure herself against the international field of competitors, always keeping the advice “stay true to yourself” in mind.
